人唯有相信耶穌所受的施洗與祂所流的血，才能在心中罪得除去。在耶和華面前，人絕不可能藉著律法得救，反而，律法主義的信仰生活只會帶來耶和華的忿怒。被律法主義信仰捆綁的人，對同樣的信徒只強調外在的行為。過去，猶太人也是根據他們所擁有的律法來審判並輕視外邦人，說「他們不認識耶和華，拜偶像，如同野獸一樣」而將他們排斥。
