In this episode I caught up with an old friend, Ayanda Mazibuko, a black, queer feminist and storyteller currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa. We speak about her journey over the last few years since we last spoke, touching on "the new normal", art, expression, introspection and healing. Diving into societal and social dynamics, we tackle the subject of micro-aggression, racism and what it means being black and marginalised in South Africa. We speak about awakening, growth, finding ourselves and maintaining relationships and friendships during the pandemic and how self awareness plays a big part in the evolution of self. She's an amazing person with lovely energy and I really enjoyed interviewing her for this episode.
