  • No Motive, No Mercy: The Bryan Kohberger Case
    Jan 31 2026
On a quiet November night in 2022, the college town of Moscow, Idaho was shattered by an act of unimaginable violence. Four University of Idaho students, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, were found brutally stabbed to death in their off-campus home in the early morning hours. The shocking crime stunned the community and quickly gripped the nation.

This week on Chillworthy, we break down the chilling case of Bryan Christopher Kohberger, a criminology PhD student at Washington State University who would later be arrested and charged in the quadruple homicide. From the initial discovery of the crime scene and the fear that followed, to the months-long investigation that led authorities from Idaho to Pennsylvania, we trace the steps that brought investigators to their suspect.

We unpack the surveillance footage, DNA evidence, and cellphone data prosecutors say connect Kohberger to the murders, along with the intense public scrutiny and media attention surrounding the case. As the legal process unfolds, questions about motive, intent, and what truly happened inside the King Road house continue to haunt the victims’ families and the public.

Join us as we examine the facts, the theories, and the unanswered questions behind one of the most chilling and closely watched true crime cases of the modern era.

  • Whispers Beneath the Crabapple Tree: The Hall–Mills Murder
    Jan 17 2026
In the early hours of a September morning in 1922, two bodies were discovered beneath a crabapple tree in rural New Jersey—posed side by side, their private love letters torn and scattered between them. One was a respected Episcopal minister.

The other, a married choir singer and mother of two. What followed was not just a murder investigation, but a public unraveling of secrets involving forbidden love, wealth, power, and a community desperate to protect its own. Evidence was mishandled, witnesses were discredited, and a trial dubbed the crime of the century captivated the nation during the height of the Jazz Age. In this episode of Chillworthy, we explore the Hall–Mills Murder: a scandal that blurred the line between justice and privilege, and a mystery that remains unsolved more than a century later. Was it a crime of passion?

    A calculated act of revenge?

Or something quietly buried beneath influence and reputation? Some crimes shout.

    This one still whispers.

  • Tracks in the Snow: The Creatures Beyond Explanation; The Skinwalker Ranch
    Jan 4 2026
In the high desert of northeastern Utah, there is a place where footprints appear without warning… and stop just as suddenly.

Skinwalker Ranch has become one of the most infamous locations in the world—linked to massive wolf-like creatures, shapeshifters drawn from Indigenous lore, mutilated livestock, glowing orbs, and encounters that defy biology, physics, and reason. Witnesses describe animals that can’t be injured, creatures that seem to vanish mid-stride, and tracks in the snow that lead nowhere.

In this episode of Chillworthy, we trace the history of Skinwalker Ranch—from early rancher reports to government-funded investigations—and examine the creature sightings that continue to haunt the land. Are these cryptids? Interdimensional beings? Psychological projection? Or something far more unsettling?

Because at Skinwalker Ranch, the evidence doesn’t just disappear.

    It stops.

  • Christmas Morning, Broken Forever
    Dec 20 2025
On Christmas morning in 2011, in Grapevine, Texas — a city proudly known as the Christmas Capital of Texas — a family gathered in a quiet apartment to exchange gifts, share laughter, and celebrate the holiday together. The lights were on, the presents were opened, and for a brief moment, everything felt normal.

Then there was a knock at the door.

Standing outside was a familiar figure dressed as Santa Claus. What should have been a symbol of joy and tradition instead marked the beginning of unimaginable violence. Within minutes, six members of the same family would be dead, their lives taken during what should have been one of the happiest mornings of the year.

In this episode of Chillworthy, we examine the Santa Claus massacre, a calculated and deeply personal act driven by financial collapse, marital breakdown, and a man unraveling behind the costume he wore. Through a chilling final text message, a whispered 911 call, and evidence of careful planning, this case exposes how desperation and control can masquerade as reconciliation and how horror can arrive wrapped in holiday cheer.

    Listener discretion advised.

  • Cold Waters of Minneapolis: The Chris Jenkins Case
    Dec 6 2025
On Halloween night 2002, 21-year-old college student Chris Jenkins stepped out for a celebration at a Minneapolis bar — wearing a costume, carrying no coat, phone, or wallet, and full of holiday-spirit. Not long after midnight, he was kicked out. A few hours later, Chris vanished.

Four months later, his body was recovered from the Mississippi River, caught between logs near downtown Minneapolis. What began as a supposed drunken accident or suicide grew into a far darker mystery: discrepancies in the police investigation, conflicting forensic findings, and claims by Chris’s family that he was abducted, assaulted, and thrown into the river.

In this episode of Chillworthy — Cold Waters of Minneapolis: The Chris Jenkins Case — we retrace the night that changed everything. We examine the bar-exit, the missing belongings, the conflicting testimonies, and the haunting questions left unanswered. Was it a tragic accident? A moment of despair? Or a targeted act of violence? Despite the official ruling of homicide, no one has ever been charged. The river took Chris, but justice remains lost.

We know some of you were waiting on Part 2 of “Screams in the Sunshine State.” Unfortunately, technical issues caused the loss of that episode — we’re genuinely sorry. We’re working hard behind the scenes to recover or re-record it, and we’ll share an update as soon as we can. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and support.
