The lesson is simple: Do the right thing. Make the right changes. Make good choices. And if you have not in the past, make the changes now. Learn to treat people with care, with dignity, with respect. Appreciate those who’ve been in your corner. Don’t take them for granted.
Because one day, you will need somebody — and the only people standing with you will be the ones you didn’t mistreat along the way. And every once in a while, even the ones you mistreated will show up. But they might not be there in the way you want them to be.
As the old sayings go: “It ain’t no fun when the rabbit’s got the gun.” And “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you… because you just might end up starving.”
