After joining The World Famous LA BREAKERS in 1983 as one of LA’s poppin’ phenoms, DREW went on to co-found one of LA’s original graffiti crews called "LA’S TOP” in 1984 alongside his writing partner, REED.

That same year, he quite possibly became the first writer to ever hit a rooftop in Los Angeles and the first to bomb two billboards in the city’s graffiti history.

But, life took a turn. After losing his best friend to the streets at just 17, DREW fell into Gang Life—leading to crime, addiction and a long stretch in State Prison.

Even behind bars, Graffiti remained in his soul becoming the first person to ever rock an illegal blockbuster with a spray can inside a California state prison.

When he came home, he returned to his true love: graffiti art. DREW became a pioneer in the slap sticker game collaborating with some of the most influential graffiti artists worldwide and building his brand, ONLY THE REAL, into one of LA’s most recognizable graff merch brands.

Today, DREW dedicates himself with helping and rebuilding lives. He works as a counselor and caseworker to help others fight addiction and find their way back.

From gang banger to peace maker—DREW has blessed the Classic Burners stage with one of the dopest redemption stories in graffiti history!

Dive into the high-adrenaline world of LA graffiti with the “Hip Hop Bling Beast Master”

Resek’s journey began in the early ‘90s when he stepped into the hip-hop scene, inspired by its art and rhythm. With fierce determination and a “can-do” mindset, he quickly became a respected force in LA’s underground. As part of the rap collective “Gershwin BLX” and his own crew, “Cobra CLA,” Resek infused the energy of graffiti into his music and thrived as a rap promoter.

Chasing new horizons, Resek ventured to Northern California, where he embraced a passion for wild animals, classic cars, and family life. Eventually, in Oakland, he joined forces with local legends, painting hundreds of vibrant pieces across iconic Bay Area spots. With his “no limits” mentality.

Resek later returned to LA to launch his urban lifestyle brand, “LITCO,” opening a flagship store in DTLA. This space became a cultural heartbeat for urban music, BMX, skating, dirt biking, ATV stunts, and extreme sports

“BLAST 69” of the DOUBLE VISION CREW

During the 1983 to 1987 Los Angeles graffiti era, the first 5 bonafide LA graffiti bombers emerged:

1. Mr. 151 - RIP
2. Sine - RIP
3. Geo - RIP
4. Silver - RIP
5. BLAST 69

Blast 69 is the last living member of this historic group of legendary bombers. He was active when Radiotron and The LA Bomb Squad were making their mark in the Crown Hill, Pico-Union, and Belmont areas.

**THE FIRST** - Blast 69 was the first writer to focus on getting up in East Los Angeles, alongside Boyle Heights ally MC FORCE.

**THE FIRST** - To get up with a female writing partner, SECRET.

**THE FIRST** - To paint on and put up the first classic burner titled “Madonna” on the MAIN WALL at the BELMONT TUNNEL in 1985 with his Double Vision writing partner, PRESTO.

He also gave the notorious CHAKA his nickname.

In his FIRST EVER INTERVIEW, long thought dead and forgotten, BLAST 69 has re-emerged to share one of the most historic and entertaining episodes to date.

In the early days of graffiti, female writers were few and far between. Only one could wear the crown “QUEEN.”

New York had LADY PINK
San Francisco had SHEN TWS
and LA had OMEGA

This is the story of, quite possibly, the FIRST FEMALE graffiti style writer in Los Angeles who would go on to earn respect and secure her spot in style writing history.

Omega triumphed against all odds in a male dominated, late 80’s, early 90’s, wild-west coast, LA graffiti scene…

Fiercely independent, focused and friendly, Omega painted solo, incognito, she racked, she hit transit busses, freeways, streets and even got up on the Sepulveda Dam.

She pieced all of the major yards up and down the west coast. She painted at major graff events and was a respected member of the Earth Crew, an all-star group of writers that painted socially conscious-themed murals. She and Hex founded LA's legendary "Hip Hop Shop" on Melrose Blvd.

As Graffiti was evolving from the 80’s Graffiti Pioneers, a new breed of Bombers stepped on the scene the likes the world had never known HELL BENT on becoming ALL CITY !!

GKAE destroyed the entire West Coast in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Oakland. Then proceeded to lay waste to the entire Eastern Seaboard in New York, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia !!

GKAE, GANK, SCREW, CHEVY some of the names of possibly the most notorious vandal the United States has ever known!

🔥Arriving with experience in the golden-era subway scene of New York, Soon stood head and shoulders above the rest. An “All-Out King”, SOON was the first to go “All-City” in LA hitting street spots in diverse areas, systematically assaulting the boulevards with TAGS, THROWS, and COLOR PIECES. Starting in Mid City LA, Soon went on to be the first to hit Venice Beach, Pasadena, Compton and the East LA freeway spots. He rocked pieces in LA’s first Hop-Hop Club, THE RADIOTRON. He also started the infamous piecing yard at the abandoned PAN PACIFIC AUDITORIUM where he inspired LA’s first style writing generation - Writers such RIVAL, MINER, PJAY, RISK, DREAM, STYLIE 3, EAZ, VICE67, PYRO, CRIME, DEFER, MADE, GREM DASH2000, DUKE, KGB CREW, CHARLIE, GENIUS, GREEN, SKY, CLEVER , DREW, and many others.
