About this listen

Welcome to the Comic Relief Podcast! If you’ve listened to “mind yo business”, then this podcast should be an easy transition into a different side of Bluebird Counseling.

We all have different ways of coping, and one method seems to be the top contender in our household: humor. This podcast won’t be only giggles and laughs, but will be a look into mental health and how humor can heal.

Whether you laugh, cry, or all of the above, Comic Relief will be there for it all.

    Sep 15 2025

For our second episode in honor of teen mental health awareness month, we decided to talk about children and their emotional responses. While at times a child may be deemed a reactive or "problem" child, often their emotions and outbursts have a meaning behind them. We share some personal stories of our experiences with this, as well as giving advice on how to handle these situations and where they may stem from.

  • Comic Relief EP 1: Grief
    Jul 11 2025

For our first episode, we put aside the comedy to focus on a topic that has become a prevalent point in our lives: grief. We get many questions about how the name Bluebird Counseling came to be, and there's no better way to kick off this new podcast than to dive into the meaning behind it all.

Grief is something that affects all of us, and it's important to understand that it's a normal process of the human experience. It doesn't have to define you, but it is something that is a big part of one's life, and it's okay to acknowledge that.

We hope you find some sense of understanding or connection from the topics discussed in our first episode, and we hope it brings forth the conversation of grief and loss.
