Millions of Americans will either become new pet owners or have gifted a pet for the holidays. But too many of those will go into pet ownership without a real understanding of the joys and responsibilities it brings it with. Dr. Michael Bailey, President of the American Veterinary Medical Association, discussed it with us. Then, this time of year, many of us are in the holiday spirit – attending parties, gatherings and celebrations, for others – though – it isn’t a very joyous time of year. Tens of millions of Americans suffer from something called Seasonal Affective Disorder. Dr. Matthew Rudorfer, Chief of the Psychopharmacology at the National Institute of Mental Health, gave us some clarity on the issue.
