About this listen

Welcome to Conversations w/Woo, the podcast where motivation, empowerment, and divine guidance converge to inspire positive change in your life. Hosted by me "Woo", this podcast was born out of a deep desire to Encourage and Empower people. Although some have suggested that I become a motivational speaker due to my unique ability to motivate and uplift others, I initially hesitated, as standing in front of large crowds isn't my preference. What I truly love is witnessing people flourish and achieve their dreams. At its core, Conversations w/Woo is all about motivation and encouragement.Woo Self-Help Success

Hey everyone! Welcome back to Conversations with/Woo! In this episode, we're diving deep into how parents can tackle imposter syndrome while also nurturing their kids' dreams. Remember how I talked about taking action even when those imposter feelings creep in? Well, my wife and I faced this head-on with our 14-year-old daughter. She's about to start high school (cue the nervous parent noises!), and like many teens, she's figuring out who she is and what she wants to do. We have noticed that she struggles with self-doubt and comparing herself to others, so we challenged her to set some goals and make action plans. It's so important for kids to realize that dreams don't just magically happen – they take work! We also talk about how crucial it is for us as parents to be role models. Our kids need to see us chasing our own dreams and overcoming obstacles. It's all about creating a supportive space for the whole family to grow and thrive! I hope this episode inspires you to take action on your dreams and encourages you to nurture the same in your child. Jan 13 2025

Hey everyone! It's your boy Woo, and today, I'm coming to you by simply checking in!

I know that feeling of inadequacy can be real, and it's something we all struggle with at times. But I've learned that there are ways to cope and move forward, and I want to share two tools that have helped me.

The first tool comes from my amazing wife, who's an author. She encourages me to write down my thoughts and ideas, and it's amazing how much clarity it brings. Sometimes, we get stuck in our heads, comparing ourselves to others or feeling like we're not doing enough. But when we put our thoughts on paper, we can see them more objectively and start to find solutions.

The second tool comes from my therapist, who recommended an app that helps me track my emotions and practice mindfulness. One of the guided meditations in the app encourages me to get up and take action, even if it's just a short walk. It's amazing how much a little movement can do for my mental state.

These two simple tools, writing and walking, have helped me to overcome the negative effects of imposter syndrome. They've allowed me to formulate ideas and plans, and most importantly, they've helped me to get out there and create content that I'm proud of.

So, if you're struggling with imposter syndrome, I encourage you to try these tools or find others that work for you. Remember, you're not alone, and there's always hope for a brighter future.

In the meantime, I hope you're all doing well and taking small steps towards your goals. I'll be back soon with more updates on my podcast and other projects.

    Thanks for watching!

  • "Just Do It"
    Jan 4 2025

Hey good people, and welcome to 2025! I’m so glad you stopped by my channel, whether you’re here for inspiration, motivation, or simply a fresh perspective on life. Today, I want to share something powerful: The Importance of "action". Inspired by Nike’s iconic words, “Just Do It,” this episode dives into the mental blocks that often keep us from pursuing our passions, dreams, and goals. I’ve been there myself, stuck in overthinking, but today was different. What Sparked This Episode? - My amazing wife, who’s gearing up to release her 5th book. - My friend and military brother, Terry G. Harris, dropping a new podcast episode. - My guy Jazz Lavar, who’s creating incredible beats. These moments reminded me to act, and while sharing dinner with my wife, I felt a calling to record this message. Sometimes, God moves us in unexpected ways, and this wasn’t planned as episode one—but here we are! Key Takeaways from This Episode: - Why overthinking can stall your growth. - How faith, combined with action, leads to results (James 2:17: "Faith without works is dead"). - The importance of stepping out in 2025 to chase your purpose and dreams. I hope this episode inspires you to take action, no matter how small the first step may seem. Remember, the journey to your dreams starts with movement.
