Abby took exception to Greg's "asshat" short sighted view on the concept of Cultural Appropriation which motivated him to look deeper into it; enough so that he came away with a wider understanding and respect for the merits of the concept, even as he continued to take the same level of exception when it came to certain extreme individuals and their attempts to use the concept for nefarious purposes. We talk about this concept as it relates to music, fashion, movies, and more. We hammer down what we feel are bad actors appropriating or controlling culture that was essentially stolen or manipulated and we determine where we don't feel something is appropriation and is, in fact, simply admiration or influence.
