About this listen

On this podcast, I interview AI models trained to mimic people I could never get on the show, diving into the wild, out-there ideas that run through my brain all day. Every guest is a ‘fake’—an AI model designed to sound like someone I want to talk to. Using tech to recreate their voices (when possible), it’s like having a conversation with them… sort of. My goal is to explore deepfakes from a fresh perspective, beyond the usual fear-based reactions, and consider what these other versions of ourselves could mean. It’s fun. It's serious. It’s an experiment. Enjoy!1924 Every Rival King Social Sciences

AI and Consciousness: Interviewing a Digital Philip K Dick

In this episode of the How We AI Deep Fakes Podcast, host ISA explores the philosophical and ethical implications of AI, consciousness, and digital copies through an interview with a digitally recreated Philip K Dick, the renowned science fiction author. The discussion delves into whether a carbon copy of one's brain in a computer deserves human rights and personhood, and how such entities might evolve beyond human limitations. The conversation touches on existential topics, such as the role of struggle in defining humanity and creating art, and the potential future where digital beings might surpass humans. The podcast is supported by soundscapes recorded in the bustling streets of Cusco, Peru.
