• When Comfort Becomes Avoidance
    Jan 22 2026

    Daditude

    Comfort isn’t the enemy.

    In fact, it’s necessary.

But there’s a quiet moment when comfort stops restoring us and starts protecting us from discomfort we’re not ready to face. When that happens, comfort doesn’t feel wrong — it feels familiar, reasonable, and easy to justify.

    That’s when comfort becomes avoidance.

In this episode, I talk through:

    • How avoidance often disguises itself as rest, planning, or “waiting for clarity”
    • The two common responses to discomfort: freezing and overdrive
    • A third option — slowing down with intention instead of rushing or retreating
    • The question that helps bring awareness (and choice) back into the moment

This isn’t about pushing harder or eliminating comfort.

It’s about noticing when comfort is helping you recover — versus when it’s quietly keeping you stuck.

  • When a Door Closes

    Daditude

This is a raw, unedited spoken journal recorded on my first Monday working for myself.
It’s a reflection on transition, identity, grief, and the quiet clarity that comes when a door closes and another begins to open.
