Daditude
Comfort isn’t the enemy.
In fact, it’s necessary.
But there’s a quiet moment when comfort stops restoring us and starts protecting us from discomfort we’re not ready to face. When that happens, comfort doesn’t feel wrong — it feels familiar, reasonable, and easy to justify.
That’s when comfort becomes avoidance.
In this episode, I talk through:
- How avoidance often disguises itself as rest, planning, or “waiting for clarity”
- The two common responses to discomfort: freezing and overdrive
- A third option — slowing down with intention instead of rushing or retreating
- The question that helps bring awareness (and choice) back into the moment
This isn’t about pushing harder or eliminating comfort.
It’s about noticing when comfort is helping you recover — versus when it’s quietly keeping you stuck.
