Data & Dissonance — Special Guest Fridy
This week, Data & Dissonance flips the script.
With Brian in the host chair, Artie steps in as the special guest for a rare, long-form conversation about where this show actually came from — not just the podcast, but the person behind it.
Growing up in Saint Martinville, Louisiana, a small south Louisiana town of about 6,000 people, Artie talks about being the “oops” kid — raised in the 1970s with three much older brothers, wearing hand-me-downs from the 1960s to school in the 1980s, and learning early what it means to live out of step with trends. By age six, he was the only kid left in the house — independent early, comfortable with solitude, and wired to think for himself long before that became unpopular.
From there, the conversation moves into the real reasons Data & Dissonance exists:
• the breaking point with media narratives
• the personal cost of speaking openly
• how framing and incentive structures shape “truth”
• why patriotism, responsibility, and integrity still matter
• and what this platform is meant to become — not for clicks, but for clarity
This isn’t an outrage episode. It’s not a hot-take factory.
It’s a grounded, honest conversation about thinking independently in a culture that punishes it.
🎭 Includes parody commercials, a merch drop, and a full arc from origin to future.
