  • Strength, Protein, and Fat Loss: The Missing Keys for Women Over 40 with Ben Brown
    May 27 2025

In your journey to greater health and wellness, awareness always precedes momentum; sometimes the first move forward is simply to pause.

Our host, Kelly Meehan, sits down with Ben Brown, founder of Body Systems. Ben’s work isn’t built on fads or formulas. It’s rooted in a deeper kind of wisdom: the kind that asks you to stop guessing and start noticing. Before progress can happen, he says, you have to see the truth of your habits—not what you think you’re doing, but the actual day-to-day reality in tangible, quantified terms.

That means a whole lot of old-school pen-to-paper tracking: What are you eating? How are you moving? Are you sleeping well? And perhaps most importantly, are you even on your own calendar?

“Show me your calendar and I’ll show you your priorities.”

For so many women over 40 juggling careers, children, and never-ending to-do lists, the answer is no. Sticking to their calendar feels almost impossible. Their needs get pushed to the margins. But what if small changes—like walking after meals, adding protein to breakfast, or simply going to bed on time—could create a ripple effect?

Ben’s clients learn that consistency doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly. It means doing the right things often enough to matter. It’s not glamorous. But it works—especially when paired with the courage to step back from stress, from busyness, from the belief that more is always better.

True transformation doesn’t require a total overhaul. It asks for something quieter: a willingness to slow down, look closely, and take responsibility, without shame. A few meals. A few walks. A few honest decisions.

Over time, that’s what reshapes a life. Not pressure. Not punishment. Just the slow, steady return to rhythm, resilience, and rest.

  • What I Wish I Knew about Birth Control, Hormones and Faith with Alisha Banks
    May 13 2025

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your body isn’t to push harder, but to step back.

Our host, Kelly Meehan, chats with Alisha Banks, whose story is a reminder that healing isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual, emotional, and deeply personal. What started with a decision to stop taking birth control led her through a health crisis that shook every part of her life. But it also uncovered something vital: healing doesn’t happen when we rush or force—it begins when we pause and listen.

In the aftermath of her health scare, Alisha tried everything—detoxes, supplements, protocols. But instead of getting better, she became more depleted. Her body was overwhelmed. Her spirit, disconnected. It wasn’t until she began to approach her wellness from a place of faith and rest that things began to shift.

Healing looked less like chasing the next fix and more like rebuilding trust in her body, in God’s timing, and in the quiet rhythms of daily life. Eating real food. Speaking Scripture over her body. Being present with her children. Asking for help. Letting go of control.

There’s no perfect routine or silver bullet. But there is peace in slowing down long enough to notice what your body—and soul—actually need.

For any woman standing at the edge of burnout or confusion, Alisha’s journey offers a gentle reminder: You don’t have to have all the answers today. Start with rest. Start with surrender. Because often, that’s exactly where true healing takes root.

  • Struggling to Sleep? It Might Not Be What You Think
    Apr 15 2025

What if the breakthrough your body needs isn’t in doing more—but in letting it recover?

Our host Kelly Meehan peels back the layers on one of the most overlooked keys to wellness: sleep.

Sleep is more than rest—it’s repair. It’s when your brain detoxifies, your liver resets, your hormones rebalance, and your immune system strengthens. And when that’s disrupted, everything else—your mood, focus, digestion, even how your kids behave—can fall out of rhythm.

As with anything worth attaining, there are no band-aid solutions. Supplements, diets, and trendy hacks can only take you so far if deep sleep isn’t in place. What’s often seen as optional is actually non-negotiable.

We’re exploring why things like late-night screen time, blood sugar imbalances, and even emotional stress can quietly sabotage your rest. Kelly also dives into practical shifts: prioritizing protein and fat in your evening meals, catching natural light first thing in the morning, minimizing EMF exposure at night, and creating a truly restful sleep environment—dark, cool, and calm.

And when it comes to kids, Kelly shines a light on how snoring, sensory issues, or speech delays might have roots in poor sleep—not poor behavior. It’s a call to look deeper, not harder.

This isn’t about creating a perfect routine—it’s about supporting the one your body was always wired for. Sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s a return to something essential, simple, and sacred.

So maybe the next step isn’t pushing harder. Maybe it’s honoring your need to pause—because real healing begins when we finally let our bodies do what they were made to do.
