About this listen

Different is what happens when two cousins who couldn’t be more alike… or more different… sit down with coffee, mics, and a whole lot of Jesus. Tiffany (single mom, prayer warrior, plant assassin) and Summer (married-for-decades, new-ish grandma with “Resisting Blessings Face”) bring unfiltered convos about faith, family, and life’s beautiful mess. Expect laughter, hope, and the kind of honest chats that feel like therapy and a coffee date rolled into one. Prayer Requests & Questions: connect@differentpodcast.comDifferent Podcast Spirituality

  • Rest & Relationship
    Jan 13 2026

In Part 2 of our New Year series, we slow things down even more—because some truths can’t be rushed.

This episode centers on two deeply personal conversations: Summer’s Sabbath season, and Tiffany’s wrestle with grace, works, and what it really means to live in relationship with God.

    • What it actually looked like to step away—not just from the podcast, but from striving

    • The discomfort of slowing down when productivity feels like obedience

    • What God revealed in the quiet that couldn’t be heard in the noise

    • What Sabbath stripped away—and what it gently restored

    • How rest isn’t quitting… it’s trusting

Summer shares honestly about what happens when you stop doing for God long enough to just be with Him—and why some of the most important growth happens when nothing looks impressive from the outside.

    • The tension between faith and works

    • Why believing Jesus died for humanity is easier than believing He died for you

    • The fear of “messing it all up” and bringing dishonor to God

    • The realization that grace doesn’t require repayment

    • Shifting from “What can I do for God?” to “What has God already done for me?”

Tiffany shares her word(s) for the year—community and relationship—and why the focus begins vertically, not outwardly. This conversation explores how striving can quietly replace intimacy, and how doing all the “right” things can still leave us lonely if we aren’t actually walking with God.

    We talk about:

    • Neglecting relationship in favor of religious effort

    • Why obedience without intimacy becomes exhausting

    • How Jesus describes Himself as gentle and humble—and why that matters

    • Learning to receive God’s love as a gift, not a wage

This episode is for anyone who:

    • Loves God but feels tired

    • Has confused holiness with hustle

    • Is craving rest but afraid to stop

    • Knows the truth of the gospel—but struggles to let it sink all the way in

You don’t have to earn what’s already been given.
You don’t have to perform to be loved.
And you don’t have to rush into the new year without first letting God tend to your heart.

🎧 Part 3 will continue the conversation as we step into the biblical importance of community—and why we were never meant to walk this faith alone.

  • Looking Back Before Moving Forward
    Jan 6 2026

We’re Back: Looking Back Before Moving Forward

After a season apart, we’re back together—and honestly? It feels really good.

This episode kicks off our first conversation of 2026, and instead of rushing straight into goals, plans, and “what’s next,” we decided to pause. To look back. To name what was beautiful, what was hard, and what we’re ready to leave behind.

    In Part 1, we cover:

    • What it felt like to come back together after a season of Sabbath and solo episodes

    • Why stepping away (or holding things down alone) can be both holy and hard

    • A real, unfiltered reflection on the last year—what went well, what didn’t, and what stretched us

    • Gratitude for growth that came through discomfort

    • Honoring the quiet seasons that don’t look productive but change us deeply

This isn’t a highlight reel or a polished recap. It’s two friends sitting down, telling the truth about a year that shaped us—and making space for God to speak before we sprint into the new one.

If you’re feeling the tension of:

    • Loving God but feeling tired

    • Grateful for growth but still carrying some grief

    • Ready for a new year but needing a moment to breathe

    …this conversation is for you.

Stick with us for Part 2 and Part 3, where we’ll unpack Sabbath, community, relationship with God, and what we’re carrying forward into this next season—together.

💛 Thanks for being here. We’re really glad you are.

  • SIMPLY CHRISTMAS: The Greatest Gift
    Dec 23 2025

✨ EPISODE 4 — Simply Christmas: The Greatest Gift

A Different Podcast December Series Finale

We’re wrapping up the Simply Christmas series with the heartbeat behind it all — the reminder that Christmas isn’t powerful because of what we give, but because of what He gave.
This episode is the warm mug at the end of the month, the deep breath your soul has been needing, and the grounding truth that centers everything else.

Tiffany closes out the series by walking us through:

    • A reading of Luke 2:6–20 — the night everything changed

    • Why the world naturally becomes more generous around Christmas (even when they don’t realize why)

    • How the first gifts from the Magi pointed to Jesus’ identity

    • Why our modern generosity is a faint echo of God’s much greater one

    • The beauty of the gospel wrapped inside the Christmas story

    • How Jesus is the gift that doesn’t fade, break, or get returned for store credit

This is the episode that brings the season back to its foundation:
    Not presents.
    Not pressure.
    Not performance.
    Presence — His presence.

    • Luke 2:6–20 — The birth of Jesus and the announcement to the shepherds

    • John 10:10 — “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

    • Isaiah 9:6 — “For unto us a Child is born…”

    • Galatians 4:4–7 — Adoption, identity, and becoming children of God

    • Christmas generosity is beautiful — but it’s only a shadow of God’s generosity toward us.

    • The first Christmas gifts were offerings of worship, not obligation.

    • Jesus didn’t come to create a holiday; He came to bring us home.

    • True joy in this season comes from receiving the gift of Christ, not perfecting the magic of Christmas.

    • Our hearts find rest when we remember that we are loved, pursued, and adopted by the King born in Bethlehem.

Before you wrap another gift or swipe another card, pause long enough to remember the gift already given to you:
    A Savior.
    A Redeemer.
A King who stepped into the world small and humble so He could lift you into His family forever.

That’s the gift that changes everything — your past, your present, your eternity.

A new year. A new season. And Summer’s return from her December Sabbath (we love a rested queen).
