In this episode of Digest This! Bible Study, we explore the profound connection between the soul, spirit, and alignment with God through the lens of Scripture. Diving deep into the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19:1-18, we examine how Elijah’s journey of fear, anxiety, discouragement, and renewal speaks directly to the importance of aligning our soul and spirit with God's will. Elijah’s encounter with God on Mount Horeb reveals powerful lessons about hearing God's voice, understanding our spiritual condition, and finding rest in His presence.

As we journey independently through both 1 Kings and 2 Kings, we reflect on key moments where God's people had to make a choice: live by the flesh or align their spirit with God. Together on the podcast we journey through Elijah’s experience of how fleeing from Queen Jezebel, hiding in the wilderness, and eventually hearing God in the gentle whisper illustrates the process of realigning the soul and spirit when the pressures of life overwhelm us.
