    The theme this year is 'Same Energy' which calls on communities across the country to bring the same energy, support and visibility to women's sport as men's sport by attending, watching and celebrating female sport at every level during Women in Sport week and beyond.


    Our reporter David Seagrave was at the launch and spoke to Paralympian and World Para Athletics Champion, Orla Comerford, about the evolution of women’s sport in Ireland, and the ongoing challenges of visibility and participation in both women’s sport and para-athletics.

    Dublin veteran Aisling Maher is looking ahead to brighter days for Dublin as they get their Division 1B campaign underway in the Centra Camogie Leagues.


    She made her debut 13 years ago for the Dubs and says “it’s impossible to replace the buzz and adrenaline rush of playing for your county.”


    Aisling chatted to Hazel Nolan as Centra, Ireland’s leading convenience retailer, and the Camogie Association launched the 2026 Centra Camogie Leagues in Galway, marking both Centra’s first year as title sponsor and the 50th anniversary of the competition.

    He’s gone viral after smashing in a masterful 50-yard goal for his club Phoenix FC in Sydney, and it’s landed him on the shortlist!


    His mam, Nikki has been spearheading the campaign here at home to get Kane the votes he needs to clinch the award.
