About this listen
Duncan Morley Bruce is the founder behind Give Credit, an exciting start-up that is revolutionizing the way payments are made. With a proven track record of success and a remarkable career spanning multiple industries, Duncan is a true source of innovation and inspiration.
From Massachusetts Maritime Academy to Universal Music, Duncan has a notably diverse background. After attending MMA, Duncan ventured into the unknowns of the music industry, one of the most challenging industries of all. Through perseverance and determination Duncan became a recording artist signed to Universal Music (BSMG), where he honed his craft and made a name for himself. He achieved many notable accolades, including becoming a three time Billboard charting artist. His hit single "Find You Now" featuring world renowned artist Rick Ross reached the number six spot on the Top 10 Billboard charts. Duncan poured his heart into his music, always striving to make a positive impact on the world through his art. One of his most passionate projects during this time was "Give Me A Sign," a powerful song he wrote to raise awareness about homelessness and support the New York Rescue Mission, World Vision and Why Poverty. Duncan believes "When you give selflessly, it not only helps others, but it also helps you grow as a person an opens new doors”.
Duncan later served as the Creative Director of Universal Music's Blue Sapphire label, where he played a key role in facilitating the creative direction for the label. Drawing on his experience as a recording artist and his passion for creating meaningful art, Duncan helped guide the development of cutting-edge music projects that resonated with audiences around the world. Through his work with Blue Sapphire, Duncan learned the importance of building strong relationships and fostering collaboration, skills that would prove invaluable in his later work as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
After fifteen years in the music industry, Duncan decided to explore new avenues and started a fundraising company that helped secure seed capital for start-ups. Through his work, he successfully raised millions of dollars to help these businesses grow and thrive. This experience opened his eyes to the power of entrepreneurship and the impact that small businesses can have on their communities.
But Duncan's true passion was always philanthropy, and he knew he wanted to do more to make a difference in the world. He wanted to leverage his creative background and entrepreneurial skills to build a business that was both purpose-driven and profitable. That's when he had the idea for Give Credit, charitable payment processing company.
