蓬頭稚子學垂綸，側坐莓苔草映身。
路人借問遙招手，怕得魚驚不應人。
一個小孩正在學釣魚，他披頭散髮，側坐在長滿苔癬的石頭上，周圍青草的顏色映照在他的身上。偶然之下，有位路過的行人看到了他，在遠處招手，想要向他問路，小孩子卻擔心驚嚇到魚兒，所以靜默著沒有回答。
