Fue parte de un disco y de una película del mismo nombre.
Vendió millones de copias y volvió a ser número uno en rankings de todo el mundo cuando Prince murió, el 21 de abril de 2016.
Una vez le preguntaron a Prince sobre el significado de esa lluvia púrpura. “Cuando hay sangre en el cielo... rojo + azul = púrpura”, dijo.
“La lluvia púrpura refiere al fin del mundo y estar con la persona que amas, dejando que tu fe/Dios te guíen”.
