The boys kick off their longest, most jam-packed episode yet with Random Questions of the Day, debating the very important life choice of skydiving vs. shark cage diving. From there, in honor of Groundhog Day, Bierman gives a quick history lesson on the holiday before turning it into a fun draft-style contest. He lays out 12 iconic events like the Running of the Bulls, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the NFL Draft, Mardi Gras, and more. Pat and Bill then have to draft the events in the order they would most want to attend, which leads to plenty of debate and strong disagreements across the board.

Next up is the Super Bowl Finale Edition of Nailed It, where Bill unveils this week’s massive 10-question slate. In the host competition, Pat and Eric are tied heading into the final week, so it is truly anyone’s game. For the listeners, the 20 finalists are officially announced, and this week’s champ will win a trip to Vegas with the crew during Masters Weekend.

Then it is on to Hot Takes. Pat shows some love to the early golf season, including Justin Rose’s strong showing at the Farmers, and shares his excitement for this week’s Waste Management Open. Bill finally gets his chance to weigh in on Alex Honnold’s incredible feat from a couple weeks ago, and Bierman dives into Australian Open history and even talks some McDonald’s All-American high school basketball.

From there, the guys lock in their Stone Cold Locks with a full deep dive on the Super Bowl. They give their ATS and over-under picks, final score predictions, and of course, each share their three favorite prop bets for the game.

The episode wraps with a super fun Top 5, featuring the crew’s favorite Super Bowls with a twist. Bierman must pick from the first 20, Sanders from the next 20, and Pat from the most recent batch. That means 15 different Super Bowls get spotlighted, along with all the reasons they made the list and plenty of interesting, historical facts and moments along the way.

It is a true super-sized episode, packed with debates, betting, history, and laughs. The perfect way to get ready for the biggest game of the year.

    Jan 28 2026

Pat & Eric welcome super-sub Mike Paston back to the pod this week while the Sandman is on a work trip, and Paston brings it strong as always.

The guys kick things off by breaking down the Conference Championship games and sharing early thoughts on whether this year’s Super Bowl is shaping up to be a classic or a dud.

Next up, they dive into ticket prices and the madness of trying to attend major sporting events, including stories about camping out, paying outrageous prices, and which “bucket list” games or concerts they’d actually be willing to splurge on.

Then it’s the first edition of Be My Guess this year, the sports trivia guessing game, and let’s just say Pat is not exactly starting 2026 on a hot streak.

Hot Takes follow, with Alex Honnold, Shedeur Sanders, Tom Brady, and Duke football all on the table, plus a fun betting tale about a massive parlay hit during the Seahawks-Rams game that delivered a very healthy payday for one lucky Sandman Nation member.

The boys are back for Episode #74 and kick things off by recapping the CFP National Championship, including a spirited discussion over where this Indiana team ranks among the all-time greats and whether they belong in the same breath as 1995 Nebraska, 2001 Miami, and 2019 LSU.

Bierman then tells a story from the Australian Open about a player who celebrated a bit too early and paid the price, another reminder of the importance of mental toughness in sports.

The episode wraps, as normal, with their fun Top 5 segment, as the hosts share their favorite sports relatives of all time, including Bobby and Brett Hull, Dell, Steph, and Seth Curry, the Alomars, and many more.

From there, it’s a full breakdown of Wild Card Weekend as the guys revisit all six games with their biggest takeaways, then roll straight into previews and picks for each of the four Divisional Round matchups.

  • Life of Pat
    Jan 7 2026

The boys return after a two-week hiatus to kick off their first podcast of the new year. They open by talking about things they are very glad no longer exist from the 1980s, then recap their holiday breaks, including Pat squeezing in both a ski trip and a beach trip, Bill enjoying a relaxing staycation in Seattle, and Bierman setting sail on a nine-night Caribbean cruise.

From there, they dive into the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, sharing their reactions, biggest takeaways, and what surprised them most, including the absolute demolition Indiana put on Alabama. They then preview the CFP semifinals and give their predictions for both matchups.

Next up is Nailed It, with all five questions focused on Wild Card Weekend. With only three weeks left to qualify for the Super Bowl finale and a possible trip to Vegas, listeners have a final call to join in on the action.

Then it’s Hot Takes time, and each host starts the year strong. Pat waxes poetic about the wild ending of the Ravens–Steelers game and once again professes his man crush on Mike Tomlin. Bill relives some brutal NFL Survivor heartbreak thanks to the Browns’ last-second field goal against the Bengals. And Bierman fires a shot at the SEC, telling them to stop living in the past as the Big Ten is clearly the superior conference right now. Along the way, the guys also debate the over-aggressiveness of fourth-down decisions and show some love for Michigan’s hire of Kyle Whittingham.

After that, it’s Stone Cold Locks. The boys admit it’s been a tough season, but they’re determined to start 2026 on a high note, highlighted by a unanimous pick this week.

  • The Twelve Pods of Christmas
    Dec 24 2025

is off enjoying a family ski trip. Fear not, though. Bill and Eric are joined by frequent guest host Brandon Lewis, and the fun starts immediately.

Bierman kicks things off with a Christmas surprise, sharing an original song he recorded called The 12 Pods of Christmas. Longtime listeners of the pod will find it especially funny and right on brand. From there, the guys jump into a fast-paced game of Christmas trivia covering movies, TV, music, and more. Brandon and Bill put up a valiant fight, and the competition comes down to the final question.

Next up is Nailed It, where listeners have just a few weeks left to qualify for the Super Bowl finale edition. Then it’s on to Hot Takes, and the guys have plenty to get off their chests. Brandon pleads with the CFP to stop allowing Group of 5 teams into the playoff, arguing that the opening-round games have been brutal and no fun to watch. The Sandman gushes over last week’s Seahawks vs Rams matchup, calling it the best game of the 2025 season and one that deserves a spot on the all-time list. Bierman follows with another unbelievable high school football story, featuring a miraculous Hail Mary. The real headline, though, is the awful coaching decisions that even allowed that ending to happen, and Bierman is not happy about it.

Then it’s Stone Cold Locks, as the boys look to build on last week’s momentum with nine more picks, mixing NFL action with bowl season plays.

They wrap things up with their annual Year’s Best Top 5, where each of them shares their favorite things and experiences from 2025. Movies, TV shows, cities, products, and more are all on the list, and there are plenty of recommendations worth jotting down.

Finally, since the boys are taking next week off, they close with a bonus look ahead to the CFP semifinals, including a quick breakdown of the matchups and who they like.

It’s a festive, fun, and laugh-filled episode that’s perfect for the holiday season, so pour a drink, settle in, and enjoy.

  • My Imaginary Friends
    Dec 17 2025

In this episode, the boys kick things off by breaking down the College Football Playoff bracket, tackling questions like who has the easiest and toughest path, potential breakout stars, and their boldest predictions. From there, they dive into each first-round matchup with picks and analysis before revealing their national championship game predictions and winner. And yes, all three picks are different.

Next up is Nailed It, with six weeks left to try and punch a ticket to Vegas as the pressure starts to ramp up.

Then it is time for Hot Takes, which includes some strong opinions on the ManningCast and whether it might be time to stop listening, praise for the University of Washington men’s soccer team after an improbable unseeded run to an NCAA title, and Bierman sharing an incredible high school football national championship story out of Louisiana.

From there, the guys roll into Stone Cold Locks, teeing up nine more picks in hopes of fattening your wallets.

Finally, the show wraps with one of the boys’ favorite Top 5s of the year, a Festivus-inspired airing of sports grievances. Nothing is sacred. College football’s mega conferences get skewered, along with a proposed fix. The city of Philadelphia and its angry fans get called out. MLB MVP voting takes some heat. Rocky Top gets reminded it is not a blue blood. And that is just the beginning.

It is loud, opinionated, and a perfect way to vent one week before Christmas. Grab your aluminum pole and join the cranky boys for a fun, entertaining ride you won’t want to miss.

  • Clint Benz
    Dec 10 2025

The boys are back for Episode #69, and in true Sandman Sports fashion, that number does not go unnoticed. Things open with exactly the level of immaturity listeners expect, including a quick dive into porn star names and the steamiest movie scenes ever filmed.

From there, the guys shift into football mode and revisit their preseason college football predictions. Back in August, they picked every FBS conference champion, identified dark horses, made over under bets, and more. Overall, the results were surprisingly strong, although a few whiffs (looking at you, Clemson and Penn State) get exposed pretty quickly.

Hot Takes deliver the weekly fireworks once again. Pat goes off on Alabama getting in over Notre Dame and calls for post game interviews to be sent into retirement. Bill unloads on the CFP rankings committee, wondering why rankings even exist during the season if they flip ND and Miami on an idle week. He also lobbies to reduce the absurd 46 bowl games. Bierman calls Notre Dame childish for refusing to play in a bowl, highlights one of the biggest upsets in FCS playoff history, and springs an impromptu “Be My Guess” game where the boys try to name the winningest CFB programs without a Heisman winner.

Stone Cold Locks pivot mostly to the NFL this week with a lighter college slate, and the guys genuinely believe a 9-0 week might be brewing.

They close with a Heisman themed Top 5, ranking their favorite Heisman winners or finalists ever. Names like Lamar Jackson, Barry Sanders, Vince Young, and even Gordie Lockbaum from Holy Cross make their way into the discussion.

It is another hilarious, occasionally inappropriate, always entertaining episode loaded with good laughs, good picks, and good times.
