About this listen

Alex Staniforth is a record-breaking adventurer, inspirational speaker, author, award-winning fundraiser and charity founder, who is no stranger to overcoming challenges.

At 28, Alex has already overcome more than many will in a lifetime. As a teenager he survived the two most significant disasters in Mount Everest history, in two consecutive years. However, his biggest mountains have been within: epilepsy, bullying, mental ill health and a lifelong stammer.

In this fascinating conversation, Alex shares really honestly:

- His experiences of extreme challenges

- His perception of both courage and bravery, and how we can build resilience in an intentional way

- How he is able to see negative experiences, like bullying from a young age, as positive markers in his life

Alex is determined to build a legacy with meaning. Out of his experience witnessing the death and devastation of the Everest earthquake, he is even more aware of the impact he can have by sharing his story of resilience, overcoming and to "keep showing up".
