Sherri Rasmussen was an insanely accomplished woman by the young age of 29. Her life was seemingly perfect, but her husband, John Ruetten, had a piece of his past that persistently followed them around. When Sherri was found dead on her living room floor, her father knew exactly what to tell police first: John's ex-girlfriend had visited Sherri at her work, telling her that if she couldn't have John then Sherri couldn't either...then he proceeded to tell them that although he didn't know the woman's name, he knew that she was an LAPD officer. Unfortunately, police would dismiss her father's word and the case would go cold and remain unsolved for over 20 years...
