About this listen
As the Criminal Justice Reform Movement in Delaware gains more traction, Fenel sits down with an old friend that he served 15 years in prison with, Thomas "Professor" Hudson, to discuss his release, reentry, and return to prison on a minor violation. Professor delves into his harrowing journey as a Caucasian man in a prison system dominated by black people and all the dangerous obstacles he faced as a result. He discusses how the lack of rehabilitation opportunities in Delaware's prisons crippled his prospects upon his release, making it difficult to successfully reenter society. Though he achieved a measure of success inspite of the odds, Professor succumbed to the unprocessed parts of himself, devastated by prison life, which ultimately landed him back in prison for a short stint. Enjoy as the two get reacquainted while charting a brighter vision for criminal justice in the first state.
