We also discuss some of the most important bills that are still moving through the Colorado Legislature including:
- SB25-045 – Universal Healthcare Study: This Senate bill mandates the Colorado School of Public Health to conduct a comprehensive analysis of a statewide single-payer, publicly financed healthcare system.
- SB25-005 – Labor Peace Act Reform (“Worker Protection Act”): Perhaps the most consequential labor bill this year, SB5 would eliminate Colorado’s requirement for a second super-majority vote to authorize union security agreements.
- HB25-1090 – “Junk Fees” Transparency Act: This bill prohibits deceptive or hidden fees on everything from apartment rentals to concert tickets. It requires any advertised price for a good, service, or rental to include all mandatory fees upfront so consumers aren’t hit with surprise add-ons.
- HB25-1010 – Price Gouging Prevention Act: Another top consumer bill, HB1010 would ban price gouging on essential goods and services even outside of emergencies,
