Hello and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. To begin this episode, “Death and Life,” I share the following scripture verses from John 11:25-27 and 33-35, which comes from the Scripture passages my dad reflects on: Jesus said unto [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life: Whoever believes in me, though they die, yet shall they live! And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She answered, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who comes into the world.”

When Jesus saw her weeping...he was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled. And Jesus said, “Where have you laid him?” They responded, “Lord, come and see.” Jesus wept.

Now, sit back and relax as you take this time to dwell in God’s presence as my dad, Dr. Lou Jander, reflects on “Death and Life.”
