Application:

• The purpose of the workman of Christ is to demonstrate a single-minded commitment to the Lord Jesus. There must be a single-minded purpose within the body of Christ, a purpose, a drive, a mission, a unity.
• If we can’t relate to severe persecution for the gospel, we can relate to the present sufferings of this age. These sufferings, though painful, can be useful and edifying to the cause of Christ. Persecution and suffering help equip of the good work of the gospel.
• If you want to grow into a faithful workman of God, stay in the Bible. Persevere in the gospel truth. There is no new Word from the Lord; He has already given what He is going to give as revelation. Nothing is more convicting than the Spirit of God moving you to a place of repentance as you hear the Word of the Lord.

How are we equipped for Good Work?

1. By Suffering Persecution and Difficulty Gracefully
2. By Staying in the Word of God

Prayer Prompts:

• “Lord, help me to endure gracefully, and help me be that workman who is equipped for every good work of the gospel.”
• Pray the Lord will help you to stay and grow in the Word of God. The Lord will bring you someone to study the Bible with.
• Pray the Lord will use you to help grow fruit in others in the church. “Lord, use me.”
