About this listen
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I give a spiritual Chiristian meditation on the nature of suffering and endurance. The sermon is taken from the Book of Mark, chapter 13, verses 6-13, where Jesus describes some of the suffering that we may see, from wars to earthquakes and famines, all of which will bring much sorrow to mankind.
However, we should not lose our faith and despair during these times of sorrow, because everything is going to be alright. Christians should remember the story of Christ’s suffering on the cross and how he died to save humanity, and follow the example that He set for us. Jesus endured his suffering to the end and was rewarded in Heaven, as Christians will be if they endure their suffering on earth to the end. I explain what true endurance looks like and how we can endure, knowing in our hearts that everything will be alright.
This episode ends with a closing prayer, asking our Lord God for the strength to endure our troubles to the end, remaining faithful, focused and fearless, so that we can receive His blessings in the afterlife.
