Other than demanding that people act as my furniture I don't have many tools in my stripper toolbox when it comes to creating a positive experience for my customers who enjoy being dominated. On this episode I tell my success story for creating a safe but exciting private room experience for a submissive customer. I give a tip about getting tips, talk about why it's red flag when guys tell me they prefer women without makeup and in a “post work audio clip” I talk about a (physically) slippery encounter with a customer. It’ll just be me telling stories and answering questions on this week’s solo episode but the memories of some very fun strip club customers is so fresh on my mind that you’ll think all three of us are in the room! Other happenings on this episode, I explore two different club’s cultures around what we dancers wear to work before we change into our outfits for the night. In the “single stripper update” segment of the show I question why one of my young, polite and good looking customers has been so unsuccessful finding a suitable person to date. Later, I talk about something that surprised me in a paid private half hour session. I conclude this week’s episode examining a racially charged comment that a customer made to me recently. Mia and I open this week’s episode talking about our stripper costumes, honestly the phrase “if the shoe fits wear it” could hold some irony in our line of work. This week I talked to Mia, a dancer who lives in Huston. After hitting a wall with her volleyball skills Mia took to the pole and has been entertaining at strip clubs for about 6 months. Mia grew-up around dancers and we have fun talking about how her upbringing may have influenced her comfortability with our work. We share a lot of laughs about our love/hate of fog machines and I enjoy hearing Mia describe what she’s been finding energizing and enjoyable about working at the club. We wrap-up this episode talking about relationships with staff and what the stripper community is like in Huston. On this week's episode I have a wonderful time talking to dancer and fellow introvert Hunny. Strippers are employees rather than independent contractors in the state of California, Hunny has worked as both so she provides a breakdown of the differences and similarities between the two options. I'm not particularly good at maintaining relationships with regular customers so I'm blown away when Hunny tells me that she has a list of them scheduled to meet with her during her work shifts. Hunny started dancing in her 30s so we talk about the benefits of entering the industry with life experience as well as investing, positive relationships with club staff and our celebrity look-alikes!

So I start off this episode trying (and failing) to remember a quote I like about strippers and politicians. I introduce and comment on two "post-work audio clips" from a recent work trip, on one of them I describe a strip club owner trying to recruit me to work at a different club. I also encountered quite a bit of love/hate from my customers that weekend so I laugh about that for a bit, as well. Later in the episode I try to solve a credit card transaction related mystery that I encountered while trying to put in some quality work for a customer.

Let me tell you, as a U.S. based stripper, questions I didn't know I had about what working in Canada is like were answered in this episode. I was fortunate to have an enlightening conversation with Cali, a 4 years experienced travel dancer from Saskatchewan.

After taking some time to explain what a jam is and the logistics and day to day of working for an exotic dance company, Cali tells me some fun stories. I learn about her girl next door (with dad jokes) aesthetic, coming out as a dancer to her family and getting her fiancé so excited about pole that they now perform together! Cali is a resource to people in her area who would like to learn about our work. It was such a fun and positive experience to get to connect with an awesome person who I share a community with.
