Falstaff's Wedding (1760 and 1766) is a play by William Kenrick. It is a sequel to Shakespeare's plays Henry IV, Part 2 and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Most of the characters are carried over from the two Shakespeare plays. There are two distinct versions of the play. The first, recorded here, was published in 1760, and is a serious play with a plot to kill Henry V of England. This play was not well received when presented in 1766, and so a completely revised version was prepared and staged later in 1766 that drops the serious parts and expands the comic elements into a farce. - Summary by ToddHW Cast list: King Henry the Fifth: Adrian Stephens Duke of Gloucester, Brother to the King: Alan Mapstone Duke of York, Uncle to the King: LuMiness Duke of Exeter, Uncle to the King: Paul Guerra Archbishop of Canterbury: Larry Wilson The Pope's Legate: PaulW Lord Scroop of Masham: ToddHW The Earl of Cambridge: Chris Pyle Sir Thomas Grey: redrun Sir John Falstaff: Greg Giordano Justice Shallow: Ehsan Ahmed Mehedi Master Slender: Elijah Fisher Pleadwell, a Lawyer: Stacey Malcolm Apothecary: Inkell Father Paul, a Friar: Beeswaxcandle Father Lawrence, a Friar: David Purdy Bardolph: Alan Mapstone Pistol: Paul Guerra Peto: David Purdy Francis: Norah Nelson Dame Ursula: Agnes Robert Behr Eleanor Poins, Quondam Mistress to the King: TJ Burns Hostess Quickley: WendyKatzHiller Dol Tearsheet: Jenn Broda Bridget: Nicole Wright Officer of The King's Household: redrun Page: Norah Nelson Stage Directions: Sonia Editing: ToddHWCopyright Drama Genre Art Drama & Plays
