David Trask discovers a book from the library about the town of Reed being haunted by a ghost or ghosts. The book claims gold is buried somewhere and Mitchell is still scared about his encounter after nearly drowning. Meanwhile, farming machinery in the town has mysteriously gone missing! Samuel Trask is on a case to help locate it. But when everything appears to be a dead end, the boys decide to set out on their own adventure of locating the truth.
