Sometime last year, I came across something I'd never seen before. People in an MMA octagon, fighting in full medieval armour. With weapons. My interest was immediately captured, so I started investigating.

Follow the journey of the Hellions, a group of all-women fighters based in Gloucester, on their road to the world championships in Hungary. We learn about the value of community, what binds together this self-proscribed group of ‘weirdos’. By following them in their journey, I ask, what makes you get in armour, why did you choose this as a hobby, and more importantly, what makes you stay?
