It is important to be fully aware of the risks and rewards of any decision and undertake the necessary research and diligence before making an investment decision. But who do you rely on for that knowledge? Do you do it yourself or hire a financial advisor, or take the assistance of a robo-advisor? You've guessed it, today, we'll talk about robo-advisors in this episode.

What is cloud computing? The word “cloud” in cloud computing refers to the myriad network of servers available to a user. These are the servers that store and process data on the Internet. Cloud computing is the provision or availability of computing services over the internet where these servers, databases, and software provide various services, thereby reducing costs and reduce capital expenditures with the ability to scale the operations as needed. Cloud computing offers a pay-as-you-go option compared to buying, operating, and maintaining servers.

What is machine learning? In simple terms, machine learning is the practice of enabling machines to learn by themselves and thereby become intelligent. IBM provides a more nuanced definition, stating that machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science, which focuses on the use of data and algorithms to imitate the way that humans learn, gradually improving its accuracy. In fact, this term was coined way back in 1959 by Arthur Samuel through his studies in machine learning in the game of checkers.
