  • Episode 6 - Banjo Junkie (The Fingerpicking Finale)
    Jun 12 2022

Episode six showcases Dusty’s love of all things banjo.

He illustrates the plight of the much-maligned banjo picking salty dogs, who single-handedly invented social distancing before it became covid-cool.

Dusty opens up his heart about his struggles as a banjoholic and his 5-string fingerpicking hillbilly addiction with his plucking anthem  ‘Banjo Junkie’ and takes his relationship with his banjo–detox therapist to new heights.

We also hear about the plight of forgotten ‘banjo widows’ as their husbands lock themselves away in their man caves seduced by the plunky mountain music of the banjo. In one case leading to their eventual demise - in the haunting murder ballad ‘Death By Banjo’

In this final episode we also uncover a uniquely mountain-folk musical genre called ‘Mumble Country’. Dusty is joined by jabbering country crooner Hardy Makeout and his truly baffled beloved Anita Clue, on their truly confused country duet ‘As Clear As Mountain Mud.

Dusty endeavors to overcome his aversion to all things ‘Nouveau’ and his Pop Country phobias with his banjo detoxification therapist Donna Pickett. The Country Cliché also tries to get his head around the new-fangled -groin-jangled-fad that’s lighting up the modern country music scene...with the new 'Queen of Lady Bling' anthem called ‘Country Vajazzle.

  • Episode 4 - Real Big Hit With Convicts
    May 14 2022

Episode four showcases the important role that crime has played in the country music genre...from bank jobs to country music acoustic underworld mobs.

Dusty talks about his own brush with the law and how he spent time on the inside for a crime he never committed and ironically, how his own criminal records like: ‘I’m a real Big Hit with Convicts’ just seemed to click with country-loving cons!

Dusty also features songs from old-school traditional goons and routine loons like Heart Shaped Willie’s hit “Old School Regular Con, and prison-stay-appraisal CrimAdvisor.com' crooner Des Perado with his song ‘Hotel Prison Cell’

The Country Cliché proves that crime doesn’t pay folks, unless like him, your music and merchandise sell like hotcakes with felons and crims.
