She grew up in Russia as a Tartar and immigrated to the US as an adult. While she was conditioned all her life to need a man to do life with, she found the courage to find her independence and empowerment. Growing up, despite having a passion for music, the world always discouraged her abilities to play music and sing. In her own words, Eliya's life was ruled by fears until such a fated time when life as she knew it was burned to the ground; Eliya picked up the pieces, prioritized her healing, and rose like a phoenix to take charge of her destiny and new identity where she believes she can do everything herself. She is a very interesting combination of softness, courage, and perseverance, and I am so excited to share her with you. I am so honored to be a part of Eliya's journey.     I am so grateful for the opportunity to interview Tilly Pegrum. Tillyartist & tillytattooartist (IG) Tilly is a prolific multi-dimensional artist who grew up in Norway to multi-ethnic parents as one of 5 children. As a middle-child she had a very unique experience that we explore more in the episode. Her talents for art were nurtured and nourished from a young age. She grappled with so much grief at a very young age with her mom's journey with cancer. Her grief turned inwards as she grew into a woman and took her to the depths of darkness she grappled with. Join us as we learn how Tilly turned it around, how she has grown and evolved as an artist, and how she expresses herself so boldly to challenge the norms of feminine expression as an artist.
