Governors Highway Safety Association CEO Jonathan Adkins enjoys bringing together interesting people to discuss the important issues we face every day. The first guests are excited to join Jonathan as he marks his 25th year of service at the GHSA, now serving as CEO.

    Kicking off the first episode:

    · Nicole Nason, who’s the former administrator of the Federal Highway Administration and before that was administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. She now leads Nason Group Consulting.

She shares this important perspective: “I think the [Transportation] department needs to look hard at all of the grant programs so they’re not excessively complicated…”

    · Lynda Tran, who’s the former senior advisor to U.S. Transportation Sec. Buttigieg and former director of communications of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. She now leads Lincoln Room Strategies and is seen on CBS News and The Hill “Rising.”

Lynda says, “Whatever it is we do, we should start by just lowering the temperature in the room and I feel like [our issue] is an opportunity for everyone in the nation to just take a breath and remember that not everything has to be partisan.”
