McLaren started off as a team who you would probably expect to be 5th, or 4th if we were being generous, in the Constructors' Championship. However, they have exceeded all expectations and managed to be at 3rd place, and only 7 points behind Ferrari. I will talk about what has caused McLaren's meteoric rise to success, what the upgrades the team has made in the car to make it faster than anybody expected, and how, as a team, they changed from a team with a rocky future to a team that can POSSIBLY see championships in a few years' time, if they continue like this.
