When the spirits speak, a series of messages from beyond the grave terrorize a group of ordinary citizens who now fear for their lives.

Jennifer, a single mother, and her partner Jamie move into a beautiful mansion in Pensacola, Florida, with their two teenage daughters. However, the house harbors a dark secret: a ghost named Hall, the former owner of a slave plantation, terrorizes the family. Jennifer and her daughters experience paranormal phenomena, such as flipping photos, strange noises, and even a physical attack on one of the daughters. After contacting an empath, Tony Tali, the ghost's malevolent nature is discovered and the family seeks to purify the house to be free of Hall. Despite their efforts, the ghost persists, increasing the intensity of its attacks and forcing the family to flee the mansion, losing their investment and their home. The traumatic experience leaves Jennifer with a deep fear of the paranormal world, and the conviction that haunted houses are a reality.

Anita Intense, a local artist, finds herself with a difficult task: cleaning the house of her friend Paul, an anthropologist who died suddenly. Paul was a collector of artifacts from all over the world, and Anita decides to keep his collection as a souvenir. While cleaning the house, both Anita and her son Chris begin to feel a supernatural presence. After contacting a paranormal investigator named Lori Hole, they discover that the house is haunted by an ancient artifact that Paul brought back from Peru and that is capable of opening portals to other dimensions. The artifact, which can change shape, attracts a demonic entity that attempts to open the portal. Lori manages to close the portal and help Paul's spirit cross to the other side, but warns Anita that the artifact is dangerous and could reopen the portal.
