  • Georgian Voices – Episode 4 – Father Robert Hamilton talks about St Joseph’s African Aid

    After ordination in 1969 Father Robert worked in the Congo for three years and has continued to support communities in Africa through Saint Joseph’s African Aid (SJAA) which he established in 2001. The charity was formed to support small and manageable projects aimed at the relief of poverty, sickness and distress as well as the advancement of education principally in those countries where Josephites have a presence: DR Congo, Cameroon and Gabon. Father Robert shares his experiences of traveling to Africa and seeing first-hand how SJAA has made a difference to the communities there.     OG James O’Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Kobas, is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a compelling range of skills in multiple business units including finance, technology, sales and operations.  As a lifelong computer and gadget enthusiast, James has over 20 years of experience at the bleeding edge of technology in all its forms. 

    Over a decade ago, as a young entrepreneur, James identified the operational and growing pains of running hospitality businesses. In response he laid the foundations of Kobas, now a Software as a Service enterprise oiling the wheels of over 200 hospitality operators of all types (bar, restaurant, pub, QSR, pop-up, experience) across the whole of the UK. From leaving St George’s to setting up his own company, James gives his account on how he’s been able to upskill himself to flourish in a growing industry.
