  • Is there hope in the mess?
    Oct 24 2023

Maybe the circumstances of your life are similar to mine, maybe they’re not. Maybe you’ve made dumb decisions it’s like I have. Regardless of your walk, you’ve been through enough of the torment and constant reminders that make you feel like you're a mistake. If you’re listening to this, it is because, just as God was calling to me, He is calling you as well.  If you are ready to come clean with God, repent of your sins, and receive His  forgiveness, then let’s pray:  Father in heaven, I acknowledge that I have sinned against you. I declare this day that I repent of my sins, and I ask You Lord Jesus to come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior in Jesus name amen.  Now if you prayed that prayer I am going to ask 3 things of you:

    1) that you start going to a Bible based church near where you live.

    2) read your Bible, starting in John chapter 1 in the New Testament.

    3) Pray every day and ask God for a spirit of discernment. And when I say pray, it’s not too complicated…just talk to God like He is sitting right next to you and you’re having a conversation with Him.

  • Holding Grudges
    Oct 8 2023

How many times should I forgive someone? For that matter, why even forgive them at all? Holding a grudge divides relationships if it is allowed to take root and grow, so don’t let it take root. Holding a grudge not only filters how you view that person that offended you, but even if they are a complete stranger, holding on to that offense places another rock in the backpack, and you are the only one it affects in the long term. Getting rid of it quickly builds your character, not theirs. When you forgive them for real, it frees you from constantly thinking about it. Stewing is similar to meditation, but the focus stays on the offense, tainting the relationship. This is how grudges take root in your life, and if it is allowed to grow, the only flower that will ever blossom is bitterness.
