About this listen

In a nation experiencing rapid financial growth, one natural outcome is the increasing practice of giving back to society. As individuals amass greater wealth, there is a growing need to foster a culture of philanthropy—one that draws on the examples set by historic families and inspires new generations to view giving as an aspirational activity. The expanding economy also brings with it a large base of generational wealth that has the potential to be used for a variety of philanthropic purposes. However, individuals and families with the means often and themselves paralyzed by the process, options and structures of giving, limiting them from reaching their fullest potential. Over the past six years, EdelGive, in partnership with Hurun India has laid the groundwork for this movement by compiling and publishing the Philanthropy List. Continuing down this path, EdelGive's goal is to expand the eld of philanthropy, encouraging more individuals and families with wealth to contribute to the collective development of Indian society. To spark dialogue and demystify the subject, EdelGive plans to launch a podcast featuring conversations with top philanthropists, new entrants to the eld, and pioneers who were far ahead of their time. These discussions will explore the motivations behind accumulating wealth and the reasons for choosing to give it away for the greater good. The podcast will delve into how philanthropists approach giving, how they manage their funds, and envision the future of philanthropy in a complex and diverse nation like India. Through this initiative, EdelGive aims to position itself as a thought leader in the philanthropic space, strengthening its reputation as a reliable and competent Philanthropic Asset Manager. EdelGive intends to act as a catalyst and through this platform, inspire more people to step into the world of giving. Economics Management Management & Leadership Social Sciences
