It's the New Year! Here we spend time in Ecclesiastes to explore the verse "eat, drink and be merry".

We can interpret the weather, but then we ask who is God, where is God and why can't I hear Him? No sign will be given to you, except the sign of Jonah. Open up your ears, eyes and hearts. Time in the word is spent in Matthew.

Time is spent in the book of John, as the subjects of people pleasing and examining the condition of one's heart are discussed.

God Bless This Mess returns after a year hiatus! As Christmas approaches, Peter takes time to talk about the relationship with our Heavenly Father and how we are heirs to the throne as God's children. Time spent in the word is in Romans.

Being sent into exile might seem like a bad thing, but looking at it as a time to spend with God undisturbed, would be the view that holds more promise.
