  • S13, Ep 29: Shinnecock Hills U.S. Open Preview, Tom Patri, Jack Conger on AimPoint & Joe Grohman's Adaptive Golf Mission
    Jun 18 2026

This week on Next on the Tee, I have another outstanding lineup featuring a trio of Hall of Fame instructors, with game-changing insights from across the golf world.

Leading off is Sunshine State Conference Hall of Famer and Next on the Tee Resident Director of Instruction, Tom Patri. Tom takes us inside Shinnecock Hills. We discuss the challenges of playing Shinnecock when the winds are blowing, the history of the U.S. Open at the course, memorable victories by Raymond Floyd, Corey Pavin, Retief Goosen, and Brooks Koepka, and how only 3 players and 2 winners have ever finished under par there.

Next, Central New York PGA Section Hall of Famer and four-time PGA Teacher of the Year Jack Conger joins the show. Jack shares stories from his remarkable teaching career, offers a fresh perspective on the AimPoint putting system, and explains why many golfers misunderstand how it should be used. He also discusses his work with Fast First Golf and how swinging faster also keeps the ball straighter.

In the final segment, I'm joined by Long Beach PGA Hall of Famer and eight-time Patriot Award winner Joe Grohman. Joe shares the incredible work being done through his Adaptive Golf Program and Foundation, helping military veterans and individuals with physical challenges learn, return to, and enjoy the game of golf. We also revisit Joe's longtime relationship with Earl and Tiger Woods, and also his thoughts on the U.S. Open as well.

If you love golf instruction, U.S. Open history, PGA professionals, putting improvement, adaptive golf, military veteran programs, and stories from the game's most respected teachers, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

  • S13, Ep28: Liberty DeVitto on Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Y2K at Madison Square Garden + Matthew Laurance on Rory, US Open at Shinnecock & Friendship
    Jun 15 2026

This week on Next on the Tee, I'm taking you beyond the fairways and into the world of music, entertainment, friendship, and unforgettable stories with two incredible guests.

Leading things off is legendary drummer Liberty DeVitto, who spent three decades behind the kit for Billy Joel and helped create the soundtrack for a generation. Liberty shares stories from his remarkable career, from banging on pots and pans in his mother's kitchen as a kid to performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. We hear what it was like playing at Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve 1999 during the Y2K frenzy, getting a life-changing call from legendary producer Phil Ramone to play alongside Paul McCartney, performing at Yankee Stadium, and the inspiration behind his heartwarming children's book, Love, Santa Claus.

Then our good friend Matthew Laurance joins the show. Matthew and Liberty have developed a close friendship despite never having met face-to-face, and you'll hear the entertaining story behind that unique relationship. Matthew also shares more behind-the-scenes stories from Eddie and the Cruisers, his thoughts on the recent Rory McIlroy heckling controversy, memories of Shinnecock Hills ahead of the U.S. Open, and a touching story involving Brian Austin Green and a devoted Beverly Hills 90210 fan.

It's a fun, heartfelt, and entertaining episode filled with music history, Hollywood stories, golf conversations, friendship, and a huge dose of Vitamin G. Join us for another memorable edition of Next on the Tee, where golf legends live and your game gets better.

  • S13, Ep 27: U.S. Open Preview at Shinnecock Hills, Rob Labritz's Putting Drill, Dr. Bob Winters on Golf Happiness & Dan Quinn's Hockey Insights & Golf Stories
    Jun 6 2026

Welcome in to this episode of Next on the Tee, where golf legends live and your game gets better.

This week, I've got three terrific guests that I have the privilege of sharing with you. They share great stories, valuable golf insights, and tips that can help you play better and enjoy the game even more.

Leading off is PGA Professional and PGA TOUR Champions player Rob Labritz. Rob takes us inside one of America's most iconic major championship venues, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, and shares his thoughts on what players will face at the upcoming U.S. Open. He also discusses his experiences playing legendary courses around the world, including Old Head Golf Links in Ireland, golf in Australia, and Oakmont Country Club. Plus, Rob reveals a simple yet highly effective putting drill designed to help golfers make more of those pressure-packed 4-to-6-foot putts that can make or break a round.

Next, renowned sports psychologist and "The Confidence Doctor" Dr. Bob Winters returns to discuss one of the most overlooked aspects of golf performance: happiness on the golf course. Drawing inspiration from LPGA legend Nancy Lopez, Dr. Bob shares powerful mental game strategies for maintaining a positive attitude, managing frustration, and enjoying the game regardless of your score. If you've ever struggled with keeping your confidence after a bad shot or rough stretch of holes, this segment is really going to help...

Rounding out the show is former NHL star and five-time American Century Classic winner Dan Quinn. Dan shares stories from his friendship with hockey legend Mario Lemieux, memories of playing Oakmont, and why Shinnecock Hills remains his favorite golf course. He also discusses the growing Pro Tour, where former professional athletes compete at a high level, and gives his thoughts on the Stanley Cup Finals.

Whether you're looking for golf instruction, putting tips, mental game coaching, U.S. Open insights, Champions Tour stories, golf course recommendations, or behind-the-scenes conversations with athletes who love the game, this episode delivers it all.
