Maybe you’ve got kids at home, maybe they’re older, maybe you’re in that glorious in-between where you can finally drink a hot coffee… but you’re still the one who knows where everything is, when everything is, and why everyone is late. Alongside the laughs, there’s a quiet (but very real) thread running through everything we talk about: how to live a little lighter on the planet without turning your life into a constant guilt trip. We’re looking at practical, everyday choices. The kind that save you money, save you time, and just happen to be better for the environment too. No preaching. No perfection. Just “here’s what we’re trying, here’s what worked, and here’s what made the internet angry.” You’ll also pick up genuinely useful advice; money wins, life-admin systems, and simple habits that make the week feel less expensive and less chaotic. Mostly, you’ll leave entertained and weirdly motivated to do one small helpful thing: renegotiate a bill, cancel a rogue subscription, set up a system that shares the mental load, or make one change that’s good for your household and the climate.     One of us turned 40 this week… and had big feelings about what a privilege it is.

    The other one is still in newborn land, where time isn’t real, and sleep is a rumour.

    Molly is campaigning for drive-through everything, because getting eggs shouldn’t require a full logistical plan.

    We shared a celebrity encounter from the archives that still makes us cringe-laugh, and Briony used an accent Molly will never let her forget.

    Briony proved that, even though she’s terrible at accents, she has a lot of useful information about the current state of the world and why we shouldn’t be cooking with gas.

    Briony also had a bit of a sex education lesson, but not in the way you’d expect.

    Molly wants millions of men castrated…well, not really. But it’s pretty bleak.

    As always, it was a fun time but not a long time catching up.

    One of us had a close encounter with a very hunky celebrity this week.

    The other one had a close encounter with a tiny reptile.

    One of us got the short end of that stick.

    A few other things happened, which we absolutely had to discuss:

    Briony started a small social media fire accidentally offending true blue Aussie blokes.

    Molly yelled at reckless youths on bikes (as is her civic duty).

    Briony is quite partial to a good ol’ fashion scam and is eager to give all her money away to Australian Post, or perhaps a Nigerian Prince.

    Molly gave some (not financial advice) about the stock market and how to manage your money in a time where funds might be tighter than usual. Ahem, thanks President Trump.

    We both realised that we’re Boomers trapped in Millenial bodies (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

    And we both ate the most delicious chicken burrito thanks to Chat GPT.

    As sisters with three babies between us, we never have enough time to catch up, but we’re pretty pleased with the ground we covered today.
