Grant Green Jr, son of legendary Jazz guitarist Grant Green, spent his musically formative years in Detroit at the height of Motown Records. His neighbors were R&B greats Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, James Jamerson, and Marvin Gaye. In addition to that influence, Jazz greats like Miles Davis were frequent visitors to his home. This wide array of early influences helped him grow into a musician with an understanding and love for all genres of music. He’s at home playing jazz, funk, R&B, or with a Jam Band.
