- Write down how you want to restate it — clearly and without apology.
Example: “Like I mentioned earlier, I’m not available for that.”
Or: “I understand it’s frustrating, but my answer remains the same.”
- Say it out loud. Practice it. Own it. Breathe through it.
- Hold the line. Even if they get uncomfortable. Even if you feel guilty. Because protecting your peace isn’t about pleasing them — it’s about choosing you.
