About this listen

HIV Hour is the UK's only FM radio programme & podcast about living a healthy, happy life with HIV.
All the presenters are living with HIV
It's only by talking openly that we can end HIV related stigma and discrimination.
Taking an experience-led approach, rather than a medical one, presenters discuss the latest news from the community and explore events, services & support networks in the Brighton area and worldwide.
Featuring interviews with charity workers, authors, and people telling their stories.
HIV Hour aims to educate listeners and tackle the isolation many people with HIV face.

In the run up to World AIDS Day and the many events that commemorate World AIDS Day, Josh and David are avoiding the freezing weather and are on Zoom this episode. Stephen recorded an interview with Joshua Royal from HIV The Naked Truth about the exhibition, (that features Joshua and our David), and the Naked Truth Gala, both of which raise funds for Positive East. Here in Brighton Josh interviews Philip Wragg from Terrence Higgins Trust in Brighton. Philip is chair of the World AIDS Day Partnership in Brighton and Hove and he tells us about the Candle light vigil, Lunch Positive’s Community Lunch and other events. To add names to the Candle Light Vigil memorial list please email the names to the HIV Chaplain at sussHIVChap@gmail.com
