In this final episode of From Heritage to Legacy, Savannah McCormick and Anna Helton interview Apex Mayor Jacques Gilbert. Gilbert is an Apex native and who has served as a school resource officer, police captain, Blue Lights College founder, and now mayor.

At the taping of the episode, Gilbert was not only handling his normal day-to-day responsibilities - including a pandemic and protests against racial injustice - but the town was also under a flood watch that day. The whole crew is exceedingly grateful for Gilbert's time and candor.
