On today’s episode i’m gonna be talking about HOW I CAN HELP YOUR BAND! I’ve recently hit a BIG milestone for my small business, as this month marks Hookings Management’s 6th birthday. For those that don’t know, Hookings Management is a company I setup that’s prime focus is to serve my fellow DIY music artists by helping them grow their fanbases & monetise their music without the help of a record label.
According to Forbes, 20% of businesses fail within the 1st year, 30% in the 2nd year & 50% by year five so although on somedays my imposter syndrome would try & bully me into thinking otherwise, I must be providing a valuable service for my artist clients in order to have made it to the 6 year mark as a business, especially given the fact the music industry as a whole has been through some hugely turbulent times in the past few years with the pandemic & more recently the cost of living crisis.
