In this episode, we dive into the musical differences between American music and Latin music, our preferences, and how we view the evolution of music over time. Is today's music better, or is the music from the past superior? En este episodio nos adentramos en las diferencias musicales que hay entre la música americana y la música latina, cuáles son nuestras preferencias y como vemos la evolución de la música a lo largo del tiempo. ¿Es mejor la música de ahora o es mejor la de antes?

En este episodio hablaremos de las diferencias cultural que hay entre nuestros países. Tocares temas como la comida, las tradiciones y las fechas festivas, entre muchas otras cosas.

Lo más resaltante de este episodio será la combinación que haremos entre el español y el ingles ya que durante todo el episodio estaremos usando ambos idiomas a la vez "spanglish" en una forma bastante particular, ya que durante la primera parte Luke estará hablando en ingles y Jim estará respondiendo o participando en español; es decir en sus idomas nativos. En la segunda parte intercambiaran idiomas. Por ende, podrán oír cosas como a Jim diciendo "Como estas?, ¿que tal todo?" en español y Luke respondiendo: "Good, I´, good" en inglés.

In this episode, we will talk about the cultural differences between our countries. We'll cover topics such as food, traditions, and holidays, among many other things.

The highlight of this episode will be the combination of Spanish and English, as we’ll be using both languages simultaneously in a unique "Spanglish" format. During the first part, Luke will speak in English, while Jim will respond or participate in Spanish—that is, in their native languages. In the second part, they will switch languages. So, you might hear something like Jim saying, "¿Cómo estás? ¿Qué tal todo?" in Spanish, and Luke responding, "Good, I’m good" in English.

We hope you enjoy this fun episode as much as we enjoyed creating it, and we hope you’ll have as much fun listening as we did recording it!

Estamos muy emocionados de mostrarle al mundo nuestro primer episodio donde hablamos de los primeros pasos en nuestro aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma. Mi nombre es Jimberson Benitez y junto a Luke Haggerty les hablaremos de nuestro proceso de aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma. Luke es un nativo hablante de inglés y yo soy un nativo hablante de español. Luke ha estudiado español por algunos años y desea perfeccionarlo, lo mismo sucede con mi inglés. En este episodio les contaremos como ha sido nuestro viaje, cuando comenzamos y los desafíos con los que nos hemos tomado a lo largo del camino. Hablemos together es y será un podcast divertido en donde contares no solo nuestra experiencia como estudiantes de idiomas, sino que también compartiremos algunos tips para mejorar o entender algunos conceptos de una forma más fácil. Este primer episodio está dividido en 2 secciones, la primera será completamente en inglés, mientras que la segunda será en español. De modo que tanto los oyentes en español como en ingles puedan disfrutar, entender y practicar su habilidad de escuchar. Cabe resaltar que nuestro nivel o dominio del idioma que es nuestro objetivo: ingles en mi caso y español en el caso de Luke, no es perfecto y nos oirán cometer muchísimos errores, pero no estamos preocupados por ello ya que es parte del viaje y, de hecho, muchos de ustedes se sentirán relacionados con nosotros, así que sin más espero puedan disfrutar del episodio. We are very excited to share with the world our first episode, where we talk about the first steps in our journey of learning a new language. My name is Jimberson Benitez, and together with Luke Haggerty, we’ll talk to you about our learning process in this new language. Luke is a native English speaker, and I am a native Spanish speaker. Luke has been studying Spanish for a few years and wants to perfect it, just as I want to do with my English. In this episode, we’ll share what our journey has been like, when we started, and the challenges we've encountered along the way.

Hablemos Together is and will be a fun podcast where we’ll not only share our experiences as language learners but also offer tips to help you improve or understand certain concepts more easily.

This first episode is divided into two sections: the first will be entirely in English, and the second will be in Spanish. This way, both Spanish- and English-speaking listeners can enjoy, understand, and practice their listening skills.

It’s worth mentioning that our proficiency in our target languages — English for me and Spanish for Luke — isn’t perfect, and you’ll hear us make plenty of mistakes. But we’re not worried about that; it’s part of the journey, and in fact, many of you will likely relate to our experiences. So, without further ado, we hope you enjoy the episode.
