During the heated battle, Dr. Lee discovers that her love for Gabriella provides her with the drive to persist. Gabriella chooses to insert the contaminated robot into Dice's central operations and succeeds in uploading the virus, but she sustains serious injuries from an assault by Dice's troops and passes away in Dr. Lee's embrace, confessing her love for Dr. Lee before taking her last breaths.
